Where Trust Was Shattered, Hope Still Stands

Learning to Trust, But Not Blindly

Trust is fragile, yet strong as steel,
A bridge between the heart and what is real.
Yet not all hands that reach for mine
Deserve my faith, my steps, my time.

I once believed in words alone,
Let promises carve into stone,
But storms revealed the cracks beneath—
Not all who speak hold truth's belief.

Now I choose with wiser eyes,
To weigh the depth beyond disguise.
Trust is earned, not freely tossed,
A treasure gained, not blindly lost.

Not all are meant to hold my weight,
Not all should shape my destined fate.
But love still lingers, hope still stays—
I trust in light, but not in haze.

I will not fear, I will not close,
Yet caution walks where wisdom grows.
For trust is healthy, safe, refined,
Not given swiftly, but earned in time.

Restoring the Heart After Broken Trust

She once believed in steady hands,
in whispered vows, in love's demands.
She built her world on words so sweet,
only to watch them fade, retreat.

The cracks appeared, the silence grew,
The promises unraveled, too.
She gathered fragments—her tender heart,
wondering if love would restart.

But trust, like dawn, can rise again,
not forced by fear, nor chained by men.
It heals in time, breathes in grace,
and finds its home in God's embrace.

For He is faithful, pure, and true,
a refuge when the night turns blue.
Where trust was shattered, hope may stand,
woven gently by His hand.

So lift your head, dear soul, don't hide,
you are not lost—you still abide.
Love that's worthy won't demand it;
it will hold with open hands.

And one day soon, you'll trust once more,
but not like before—wiser, restored.

Healing From Broken Trust

Lord, my heart is heavy, my faith worn thin,
The wounds of betrayal still echo within.
I trusted deeply, I loved so wide,
Yet now I stand with hands untied.

I placed my hope in fragile hands,
In promises built on sinking sands.
But You, O God, remain so true,
A refuge strong, my heart renewed.

Heal the places torn apart,
Soothe the sorrow in my heart.
Remind me trust is found in You,
Steady, faithful, pure, and true.

Let not this pain make me afraid,
To love again, to trust unscathed.
For though the world may shift and break,
Your promises will never shake.

In You, Lord, I place my scars,
Turn them into light, not bars.
Teach me love that still believes,
But waits on truth, on what You weave.

Amen.
