She Stopped Chasing and Started Trusting
She ran with weary footsteps,
chasing approval in the wind,
searching for love in empty places,
praying her heart would mend.
She sought validation in reflections,
credit in fleeting praise,
worth in hands that never held her,
perfection in endless days.
She followed the world's direction,
where success is just a game,
where value is measured in titles,
and identity is tied to a name.
She changed to fit their standards,
adjusted her light to be seen,
tried to shine without stumbling,
pretending she felt complete.
But the weight was never hers to carry,
the battle never hers to fight.
She heard His whisper in the silence—
"Beloved, let Me write."
So she stopped seeking permission,
laid down the need to prove,
released the chains of worldly measures,
let grace fill every groove.
She stopped chasing the world’s values,
let go of fleeting trends,
chose truth above illusion,
where God's wisdom never bends.
She stopped searching for her worth
in mirrors and empty hands.
She found it in the steady voice
of the One who understands.
For He called her worthy before she asked,
loved her before she knew,
and in His eyes she always mattered,
even when the world withdrew.
No approval could define her,
no failure steal His grace.
Her name was written in His hands,
her purpose in His embrace.
She stopped chasing and started trusting,
let mercy unfold its wings,
no longer bound by expectations,
but lifted by the King.
For He is where her beauty rests,
where striving fades away.
Where broken pieces find their home,
and night dissolves to day.
Storms still roared and shadows lingered,
but peace had found her soul,
for faith does not demand perfection,
just a heart that lets God hold.
And she was held—always held—
in love that never fades.
Not measured by the world’s desires,
but by the hands that made her brave.
