Unveiling the Heart – A Journey Through Spiritual Inventory

The weight of yesterday still lingers,
memories etched like lines in stone.
Yet I stand, hands unclenched,
ready to face what’s been unknown.

Not to erase, but to uncover,
not to fear, but to restore.
To name the wounds, to break the cycles,
to close the chapters left ignored.

I sift through remnants of my story,
each moment held within my chest.
Some bring sorrow, some bring healing,
some are wounds I’ve not confessed.

Grace steps in where shame once settled,
light reveals what truth must mend.
It’s not about perfection’s promise,
but the courage to begin again.

The past does not demand my silence,
nor my heart to bear its weight.
God does not leave me in the wreckage,
but invites me to walk in faith.

So search me, Lord, in every shadow,
know my heart beyond the scars.
Lead me forward, guide my healing,
rewrite my story where You are.

I will not shrink from what is broken,
I will not hide in fear or blame.
For in surrender, there is freedom,
and in Your mercy, I am changed.
