To the Soul Who’s Tired of Starting Over: God Is Still in It
You're tired.
Tired of falling and getting back up.
Tired of trying to do better, only to slip again.
Tired of starting over and wondering if it even matters.
If that's you… This is for you.
You're not weak—you're weary from the fight. And that weariness doesn’t disqualify you. It’s not a sign that you've failed. It's a sign that you've been showing up, again and again, even when it’s hard. And that’s exactly where God meets us—not in our polished moments, but in our undone ones.
Maybe you've hit restart more times than you can count.
Maybe you've whispered prayers through tears, wondering if they even reached heaven.
Maybe you've questioned whether healing is possible for someone like you.
But hear this: God is still in it.
He hasn't walked away. He hasn't withdrawn His presence. He hasn't changed His mind about you. He's still writing your story—grace tucked between every line, mercy woven into every chapter.
When Peter asked Jesus how many times he should forgive—“Seven times?”—Jesus replied, “Seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21 22). That wasn’t about math. It was about the heart of God. A heart that doesn’t keep score. A heart that doesn’t flinch at failure. A heart that welcomes you back every single time.
If Jesus calls us to forgive without limit, how much more does He forgive you?
That relapse, that step backward, that moment of weakness—none of it disqualifies you. None of it surprises Him. His grace doesn’t run out. His love doesn’t wear thin. His arms don’t close.
Healing doesn’t look like perfection. It looks like persistence.
It looks like showing up when you’d rather shut down.
It looks like whispering “Help” when you don’t have the strength to shout.
It looks like choosing hope when despair feels easier.
You’re not back at square one. You’re standing on everything you’ve walked through. Every scar, lesson, and moment of surrender is part of the foundation God is building beneath your feet.
And even when you can’t see the progress, He does.
Matthew 11:28 says, "Come to Me, all weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Not “Come to Me when you've figured it out.”
Not “Come once you’re strong enough.”
Just come.
Come with your questions.
Come with your doubts.
Come with your tired soul and trembling hands.
Come as you are.
If all you can do today is breathe and believe that maybe—just maybe—God hasn’t given up on you, that's enough. If all you can offer is your presence, your ache, your barely there faith, He welcomes it.
You may be tired of starting over…
But God never tires of walking with you.
He's not pacing the floor, and he's frustrated with your pace.
He's not disappointed in your detours.
He's not waiting for you to “get it together.”
He's walking beside you.
He's holding your hand.
He's whispering, "I'm still here.”
So to the weary soul:
This is not the end.
You're not disqualified.
You're not too far gone.
And you are never alone.
Keep going.
God is still in it.
